FAQs
What do I need to do prior to the treatment?
Basically we don’t require you to do much at all. Our technicians just need to have access to your skirtings to apply a residual barrier spray. So it is highly recommended that you remove any loose clothing items, magazines and toys from the floor surfaces. We also recommend all food items are stored safely from accessible bench and table surfaces.
Is my pet safe?
The Team at Wolfpack Pest Management are extremely vigilant when it comes to the safety of your animals. The technician will exhaust all avenues to obtain information in relation to the animals you have present at your house (as well as neighbouring premises). Although the active constituent that is being used is very minimal to harm your pet, our technicians will ensure a safety first policy is practiced at all times.
Will my family be safe in the premises while the treatment is being conducted?
The answer to this in confidence is “Yes”. To obtain their Pest Management Technician licences our operators have had to undertake stringent studies and practical examinations to show Queensland Health Authorities that they are adhering to legislative requirements. The Team at Wolfpack Pest Management would still prefer the occupiers of the house be absent during the treatment and ventilate the area for approximately three hours upon completion.
What if I touch the areas treated?
Coming into contact with the residual spray whilst wet is not deemed to be hazardous at all, however, we strongly recommend immediate action of removing the wet spray from your skin is advisable. This is done so by using plenty of clean water and soap. Once the spray has fully dried it starts crystallising itself and becomes attached to the specific surface.
My child has Asthma, is it safe? Should they stay while the treatment is being completed?
Although the chemicals Wolfpack Pest Management use are fully endorsed by the Asthma Foundation we strongly recommend using common sense in this instance and avoid risking an asthma attack. So, we would request the child be absent during the treatment process and a considerable time afterwards (3-4 hours after proper ventilation to the premises).
Is it common to see any general pests after the treatment is conducted?
Yes. Often a technician will hit a hotspot area and trigger an increase in activity. The good news is that within a couple of days the pests will come into contact with the powerful new barriers and die shortly after.
Is the treatment guaranteed?
It is the policy of Wolfpack Pest Management to give all customers a six month warranty for the treatment conducted. This will be honoured, unless there are exigent circumstances where the customer has not adhered to the advice given by the technician e.g. The customer has been given advice to remove a large amount of garbage waste to prevent reinfestation, but hasn’t adhered to the recommendation to prevent the problem.
What is the recommendation on the frequency of Pest Management Treatments?
A house should be treated every twelve months. If this period is extended the existing barriers will significantly be reduced and deemed virtually useless. There are a number of premises now that are seeking two treatments per annum, we have noted these homes are of a much higher standard with very limited activity (in most cases there is no activity). On the other hand Businesses need to be very diligent when it comes to their Pest Management Treatments. The statutory regulations imposed by Queensland Health are very strict in relation to the standard required to operate a business.
Is it necessary to wash all surfaces after the treatment?
No. Our technicians will only treat the surfaces they are permitted to perform a treatment on. We highly recommend the occupier doesn’t mop the treated floors within 4-6 inches of where the skirting board spray has been applied in the first seven days. During this period the residual chemical barrier has to harden and attach itself to the surface.
